DAMTEC® sonic & sonic drain plus

Recycling, sustainability, resource conservation and ideally even climate neutrality are the most important challenges facing today’s construction industry. For years, all these issues have ensured that more and more use is being made of wood as a raw material in both industrial and private house construction. The advantages are obvious:

  • Very good ecological balance thanks to regionally renewable raw material.
  • Very good insulating properties, thus saving fossil fuels for heating
  • High degree of prefabrication enables serial, fast construction

The products of the KRAITEC® structural protection division are also sustainable, as primary material is largely dispensed with in the production process and recycled material is used to a large extent instead. This, in combination with the use of wood, has even more of an effect on a positive ecological balance in building.

In the process, outdoor recreation areas such as roof terraces, balconies and loggias are created. Of course, noise protection from neighbours is also a prerequisite for carefree use. Noise from foot traffic, moving chairs or children playing must not be transmitted to the neighbouring flat.

Impact sound and airborne sound insulation in and on the building is regulated by DIN 4109. It is to be ensured that disturbance effects do not occur. The requirements for minimum sound insulation are clearly defined.

With the help of the structural protection mats DAMTEC® sonic and DAMTEC® sonic drain plus, these requirements can be met without any problems. The 3-in-1 solution for impact sound reduction, structural protection and drainage on exterior wood joist ceilings combines DIN 18531 and DIN 4109.
